Job Overview:
BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara County currently has opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistants in Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. You will have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, ongoing with specific clients. As a BrightStar Care CNA you will provide one-on-one care, assisting clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, transfers, grooming and toileting. You will also assist with food preparation, measuring input and output, light housekeeping, transportation and more.
Shifts available:
Client 1, Carpinteria: Monday through Friday 7a-3p, 11p-7a and Saturdays 8a -4p
Client 2, Santa Barbara: 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a, 7 days a week
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Aid in the transfer and transportation of patients
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with feeding and ensure patients receive proper nutrition, measuring input & output throughout each shift
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records including vitals, input and output measurement, etc.
- Report safety concerns and changes
Requirements:
- 1 year previous experience caring for the elderly, developmentally and intellectually impaired
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing
- Active California CNA license
- Valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation
- Must be 18yrs or older
