Seeking Compassionate, Patient, and Supportive Professional
Direct Support Professional (Adult Care Provider)
CPES Novelles, Inc. has immediate opportunities (full time/part time) for persons who are self-motivated, compassionate, hardworking, and pro-active to grow with us for our Adult Day Programs and Supported
Living Services.
SUMMARY:
This position provides caring support and community integration to adult persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This supportive role will be responsible for performing duties related to providing participants with support and services, in a patient manner based on their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
Successful DSP will also exercise positive decision-making, appropriate independent judgments, and conferring with the supervisor on non-routine items or problems. This position will have regular contact with support teams including families/conservators, advocates, medical providers, Regional Center staff, and etc
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age (per licensing requirement)
Must be passionate about supporting and helping others
Open to flexible schedules that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (not required):
Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in a Behavioral Health or Human Services
Possess a valid CA driver's licenseplease note, drivers must be 21 years of age
Prior experience supporting adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities
