Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic | Full-Time | Open to Entry Level with MA Diploma OR a year of exp as MA without Diploma
Join a compassionate, high-performing clinical team dedicated to delivering inclusive, patient-centered care across a range of outpatient services. We’re seeking a skilled and empathetic Medical Assistant to support providers in a fast-paced, community-focused setting.
Location: Santa Barbara, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (Per diem shifts also available)
Pay: $25–$26/hr, DOE + benefits for eligible full-time staff
Key Responsibilities
Room patients and document vitals, histories, and concerns in EMR
Support providers with procedures, injections, and specimen collection
Manage patient flow and assist with post-visit instructions and follow-up
Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure infection control compliance
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and patient communications
Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (or equivalent experience)
1+ year experience in outpatient or community health preferred
Bilingual Spanish/English
Familiarity with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks a plus)
Strong communication, multitasking, and cultural sensitivity skills
CPR certification required
