Office Manager / Naturopathic Assistant

Job summary:

As our office manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of a four clinician medical practice. You will be the point person for patient communication, scheduling, inventory management, billing, and more. You will also perform certain medical assistant responsibilities. We are looking for someone with an eager attitude, high capacity for remaining detail oriented while multitasking, and great interpersonal skills. This position is ideal for someone who likes working in a fast paced environment.

Job type: +/- 30 hours, hourly with option to change to salary.

Monday - Friday, normal business hours; no exceptions

Responsibilities:

Perform scheduling and answer phones

Must be comfortable with EHR systems

Check patients out and ring them up

Prepare and administer intramuscular injections using a variety of formulas

Clean treatment room and medical supply room in between patients

Be willing to perform other office duties

Answer patient inquiries

Work as an intermediary between patients and physicians

Fax or call in prescriptions and lab orders for patients

Clean and prep for IV's

Manage inventory of supplements, injectables, medical supplies

Assist with CLIA waived testing

Be familiar with specialty lab kits, be able to describe collection and requirements by labs

Keep log of IM injections and inventory

Skills and Qualifications:

Preferred experience and certification as a Medical Assistant but not required

Strong ability to multitask

Excellent attention to detail

Must have prior experience in medical setting/office

Must be tech savvy and familiar with Mac

Proficiency with software applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail/G Suite, Google Documents

Must have strong attention to detail

Comply with accreditation with federal, state, and local regulatory standards

Must be comfortable with use of needles, phlebotomy, and other bodily fluids (no prior experience required, just willingness to learn)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred (AA Degree and/or comparable work experience accepted).
