Our dental practice is nestled in a quiet courtyard tucked away in downtown Santa Barbara. Our newly remodeled practice features three treatment rooms with updated equipment and a focus on investment in dental technology to help deliver high-quality care in a calm environment for our patients. We are a fee-for-service practice with nearly 50+ years of collective goodwill; many patients having been a part of the practice for decades beginning with the prior owner dentist. We do accept dental benefit plans for payment as an out-of-network provider.
It is important we find the right fit for this position. We would like to find someone who is compassionate and upbeat with strong interpersonal skills. As a team-focused practice, finding someone with strong communication skills who can thrive in a collaborative environment is key. Success with time management and multitasking along with a proficiency in using a computer for daily tasks are needed. Experience with using Dentrix is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and maintain dental hygiene needs for patients of the practice.
This includes (when needed): capturing digital dental x-rays, administering local anesthetic, providing OHI, assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining accurate patient records within Dentrix.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Follow HIPAA Guidelines.
Experience:
- Must have an active, valid dental hygiene license in the state of California.
- at least 1 yr of experience is preferred, but not a requirement for applying.
