We have full and part-time positions available for weekday shifts; no weekend shifts are required.
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or experienced veterinary technician to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting our veterinarians, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Perform diagnostic tests, such as bloodwork, radiographs, and laboratory procedures.
Provide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized patients.
Educate clients on proper animal care, medications, and post-operative instructions.
Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
Assist with the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
Promote training and education of team members seeking advancement in the veterinary field.
Qualifications:
Valid California RVT license/credentials (if applicable).
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RVT in a veterinary clinic setting (if applicable).
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, pharmacology, and animal care.
Anesthetic induction and monitoring.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Proficiency in computer software, medical records, and communication.
Self-starters who can move quickly from task to task, while still paying close attention to detail.
Impromed experience is a plus.
