Revenue Cycle Analyst - medical billing
You must be able to pass both a background check and a drug screen to be eligible for this job.
We have a contract need for a Revenue Analyst for a 13-week assignment.
The job is located in Santa Barbara and is a hybrid role where onsite is required.
Monday-Friday 8-5
Revenue Cycle Analyst is expected to have:
Clear understanding of billing rules for all payers
Clear understanding of denial management, tracking trends
Ability to manage claim follow-up and optimize workflows to avoid denials
Clear understanding of timely filing guidelines
Clear understanding of Implant billing
Minimum of 2 years Ambulatory Outpatient procedure billing
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Identifies error trends from data obtained through claims review, telephone calls, written correspondence, payments posting and/or reconciliation
Tracks trends to identify reoccurring quality findings.
Researches, analyzes, reports, and tracks issues proactively and comprehensively.
Analyzes workflows and processes in order to discover and report any inefficiency.
EXPERIENCE:2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
General knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases-9 (ICD-9) and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) as well as Local, State and Federal coding regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge of coding and billing practices in a multi-specialty group clinic.
Government billing regulations, including; Medicare, Medicare Managed Care and Medi-Cal/Medicaid.
