Fairview Gardens Farm in Goleta is seeking a part time facilities and maintenance person.
Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, chainsaw, and mechanics skills preferred. Must be able to work independently and solve problems creatively.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Basic maintenance and repairs of buildings and farm infrastructure
Maintenance and repairs of equipment including trucks, tractors, mowers, etc.
Mowing and weed-whacking as needed
Maintaining and creating a clean and organized environment.
Occasional tree work.
Minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs and projects.
Maintaining maintenance and repair logs
Operating tractors, trucks and other equipment.
Soliciting outside support for repairs when needed.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid, in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.
Basic Spanish language skills would be beneficial.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job which may include lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
Must be able to accommodate occasional off-hours when needed including nights and weekends.
