Monday to Friday (8:30am-5:00pm), with Occasional Paid Overtime

Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to attorney specializing in criminal law, family law, and juvenile law. Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents. Manage attorney calendars, schedule client meetings, and coordinate court appearances. Handle client communications with professionalism and confidentiality. Maintain and organize client files and records with attention to detail. Assist with the preparation of pleadings, correspondence, and basic discovery. Perform general office duties, including answering telephones, scheduling appointments, responding to e-mails, photocopying, maintaining attorney calendars, processing incoming mail, following-up with clients via telephone and e-mail, preparing monthly billing statements, filing of various documents and records with the court in compliance with all court rules, maintaining inventory and office supplies light cleaning and related organization of common areas and individual workspace.
Ideal Candidate Must:
-Be Bilingual (English and Spanish) REQUIRED
-Be available to work full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm REQUIRED
-Be willing to give an 18-month (minimum) commitment to this position and our firm, ideally 24-months REQUIRED
-Experience in criminal law or family law or is highly desirable.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
-High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
-Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
-Have exemplary interpersonal skills
-Friendly and professional demeanor, with excellent ‘people’ skills and ability to remain calm and focused under stress
-Have a clear understanding of the importance of relationship building among clients, coworkers, court staff, and other attorneys
-Excellent work references and well-documented reliability
-Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and maintain organization
-Have car, insurance, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
-Openness to feedback and direction and the ability to work well in a team environment
-Ability to multitask and work in an environment with stringent deadlines
