Artist assistant needed to help with art production, digital design, admin.
Grad student preferred. Main job (80-100% to begin with) will be building artwork:
Stretching large canvases, varnishing, and assembling into frames.
Possibly delivering art and supplies, and possibly installing art.
Organizing client info in google sheets for marketing purposes.
Designing art books and flyers in indesign, and maybe making interior composites in Photoshop.
Other admin type tasks: scheduling meetings with clients and vendors. Submitting art to museums, galleries, contests, bloggers, etc. Maybe some social media posting.
Must be good with Adobe Suite, G suite, and working with your hands.
I would prefer if you have a place to assemble large art pieces, a yard or driveway will suffice. I can teach you how to do some of these tasks, but not all of them. I have tools you can use if you need them. I would prefer someone in the art, marketing, business, or related fields. You will be required to take a live scan criminal background check.
Two days a week to start at $20/hr. Days are flexible.
