Job Description - Machine operator/material handler
Pacific Pickle Works is looking a hard working individual to work in the manufacturing of our pickled and other manufactured food items.
Required skills:

● Ability to follow direct instructions and recipes working quickly to meet the daily production goal and minimize overtime
● Strong technical aptitude to learn how to setup, teardown and troubleshoot equipment of various types
● Forklift driving skills a plus, or willingness to learn
● Ability to stay focused and positive
● Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
● Previous experience in a kitchen a plus
● General food safety and safe food handling knowledge a plus
● Spanish language skills a plus
Job responsibilities - Machine operator/material handler
● Setup, operate and teardown equipment as needed on the factory floor.
● Learn to be able to setup, load and calibrate labeling and packaging equipment that is used on a daily basis for packing products.
● Organize and optimize working space to keep area safe and to maximize usability where space is tight.
● Practice proper health and safety at all times. Wash hands before shifts and after all non-sterile contacts
● Use proper protection as required for tasks involving equipment
● Ability to lift and push heavy objects
● Use proper safety equipment including back supports, safety goggles, safety gloves and hair nets as necessary.
● Learn the production packaging process for all products and be able to follow documented instructions
● Record important batch packaging information such as number of jars produced and keep appropriate logs
● Participate in keeping the production area clean during shifts and at the end of shifts
