We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Test Technician to join Sonatech LLC in Santa Barbara, California.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Test Technician at Sonatech will work closely with other Test Techs and Manufacturing Engineering to perform electrical and underwater acoustic testing. This is a hands-on position getting to work with cutting edge underwater acoustics technology, and with the opportunity to learn and grow from more experienced technicians and engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform electrical, mechanical, and underwater acoustic testing of various Sonatech acoustic products
Accurately record information on test data sheets for review and approval by senior staff
Setup, configure, and maintain the necessary test equipment as needed to ensure reliable and accurate testability
Provide ideas and input for continuous improvement of manufacturing test equipment and processes
Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation and written procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in the test process
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have at least three years of hands-on electrical or electro-mechanical test experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent technical background.
Ability to work with all levels of manufacturing and production personnel, engineering, administration, and management
Strong attention to detail
Solid organizational and planning skills
Strong communication skills, articulate, team player, and dependable
Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy/efficiency
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
A desire to learn the technical concepts of undersea acoustics
Must be a U.S. citizen
