SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor has responsibility for True Digital Surgery production and production staff. In addition to training and supervising the production staff, they will also take the lead role in production planning for components and finished medical devices. They will work with Supply Chain, Quality, Technical Service and Manufacturing Engineering to produce or repair products to meet customer’s expectations. They will also take ownership of additional tasks such as detailed inspections and troubleshooting, as well as coordination activities with third party manufacturers and calibration technicians.
SALARY AND PAY TRANSPARENCY
Hourly rate for this position is typically between $37 and $54 per hour. Base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and all applicable company benefits.
The salary range and/or hourly pay rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future.
JOB DUTIES
Executes manufacturing processes in the production of medical devices for microsurgery by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides training and oversees the production staff in assembly and production processes for medical devices
Plan production to fulfill orders on time and maintain staff productivity.
Develop cross training plans and develop staffs’ career paths to support their personal growth and TDS business growth.
Ensure a safe working environment for self and direct reports.
Takes responsibility for or participates in manufacturing documentation updates for process improvements and compliance corrections.
Directly assembles TDS medical devices and components including precision mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, cable assembly, soldering and other manufacturing processes.
Adhere to good manufacturing practices. Wear appropriate clothing and maintain neat and orderly work areas.
Follow ESD policy
Performs work and guides staff in accordance with released product specifications such as Assembly Instructions (AIs) and QA Travelers and related product specifications
Accurate and timely recording of product information on AI and QA Travelers
Identify and report non-conforming material to QA personnel
Recommendation for continual product improvement to Manufacturing Engineering and QA personnel
Handling, storage, and assembly of products that does not compromise the cosmetic finish

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.
Desirable Experience
Optical assembly, electronics assembly, stereoscopic 3D imaging product familiarity, ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 Quality Management System manufacturing environment, medical device manufacturer.
Language
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math
Demonstrate ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning
Demonstrate ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook. The individual should also be able to troubleshoot PC-based systems, hardware, and software. CAD experience in Solid Works.
