St. Vincent’s is opening recruitment for a full time Case Manager in its Family Strengthening Program, a transitional living program for single mothers and their children. The Case Manager will work with women in case management, assisting them to meet their goals, and will also work with their children and together, with mom and child, help them develop improved parenting skills and a closer bond. The successful candidate will have a commitment to the mission and vision of St. Vincent’s as well as skills, experience, and understanding of residential services. In addition, knowledge and expertise in early childhood development is important. Educational and clinical experience as an MFT or MSW trainee and bilingual ability in both English and Spanish is also a plus.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Providing weekly case management, parenting coaching, and parenting education
2. Completing documentation in client file and other reports in a timely manner
3. Provide life-skills and coping skills support in the home environment
4. Assist families in conflict resolution and in maintaining a safe and clean-living environment
5. Participate in weekly evening support groups
6. Participate in weekly staff meetings
7. Facilitate house meetings
8. Administer random drug screening
Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of community resources
2. Experience working in a residential setting
3. Knowledge and experience working with children ages 0 - 5
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills; good computer skills
5. Experience and knowledge of best practices in case management
6. Good teaching and group facilitation skills
7. Evidence of ability to make good judgments
Education Requirements:
Minimum BA in Social Work, Psychology, or Child Development.
Must pass criminal background fingerprint check, and pre-employment negative TB test. Vaccinations must also be up-to-date with certifications provided.
Salary range is $18 to $22 per hour, Compensation depends on experience.
