Summary of Job Details
Under the direction of the Basic Needs Coordinator, serves as part of the Financial Crisis Response Team. The FCRT serves current and prospective UCSB students in financial crisis, such as housing insecurity and food insecurity, in coordination with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Assists with case management, program coordination and supporting the Financial Crisis Response Team. Coordinates with over 80 other campus departments to facilitate programmatic services. Advises students and parents regarding the application process, available aid, alternative financing, and emergency and basic needs resources. Collects data on the impact of the Financial Crisis Response Team and reviews that data to identify opportunities for improvement of services.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Ability to work with a diverse student population.
Flexibility to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances
Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
Ability to solve problems, conduct research and present solutions to management.
Special Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory criminal history background check
Mandated Child Abuse Reporter

Ability to travel on occasion
Must maintain valid CA DL, a clean DMV record and enrollment in DMV Pull-Notice Program
Days/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm
