A local non-profit is seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant to join their team. This individual must be self-motivated and show strong initiative in their work ethic and ability to be proactive and prioritize well. The Executive Assistant is the right hand of the Vice President and will assume responsibility over the organization when the VP is not present. This is a public facing role so the person in this position must possess great interpersonal and customer service skills and be able to adapt to sometimes difficult situations. A professional background in non-profit and/or education (specifically for young children) is preferred.
Some Responsibilities Include:
Maintain the VPs schedule and coordinate appointments, travel, events, etc. as needed
Assist with projects as needed
Utilize various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
Assist with creation of reports and presentations
Organize fundraising efforts
Record meeting minutes
Screen visitors before entry on premises
Filing and organizing documents
General administrative support and other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate:
Flexible attitude, able and willing to grow with the company
Knowledgeable about child development
Adult/Infant First Aid & CPR (or willing to attend classes)
Ability to take early childhood education courses, if needed
Qualifications:
BA degree in business, child development/early childhood (or related field) OR AA degree in business, child development/early childhood (or related field)
Experience assisting executives or management
Ability to type 65 wpm or above
Proficient in Office Suite Pro (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint)
Experience with computer applications: Brightwheel and ProPresenter
