Job description
At Cochrane Property Management, you are responsible for bringing a positive, successful experience to our clients and tenants by providing professional proactive management services. Under supervision of the Account Manager, the Receivables and Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting and administrative tasks in support of the team.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable: Entering deposits and managing receipts. Using Appfolio Property Management software to process all deposits, rent, late fees, charge backs, collection of outstanding balances,
Responsible for processing any tenant related notices and communicating effectively with both tenants and leasing agents in English & Spanish
Responsible for filing, and all data collection & input for current and new tenants (ie: renters insurance, notices and other tenant related documents)
Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Accounts Manager and Team
Accounts Payable: Scanning and entering bills and reviewing bills getting them ready for payment.
Ability to run reports & prepare & understand complex financial statements
Responsibilities may include other task and duties as assigned assisting with payables & entering bills
Requirements
Education - Associate, or Bachelers
Organized and strong attention to detail
Comfortable with repetitive, task-based workload
Ability to think creatively and analytically with good problem-solving skills
Ability to consistently meet stringent deadlines and manage simultaneous projects
Strong interpersonal skills; calm under pressure when talking with difficult people, ability to collaborate and enhance the team environment
Excellent phone, verbal, written, and editing skills
Ability to maintain a professional & positive attitude in all situations
Proficient in computer software – Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Experience in Property Management, Accounting or Real Estate
Full Bi-lingual communication in Spanish and English
Experience with using Appfolio Property Management Software or comparable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
