Scientists with a passion for biomechanics, kinesiology, engineering, or human physiology can grow their research skills working with the biggest footwear brands in the world at Heeluxe. Currently we have a job opening for a Research Assistant that will focus on our machine testing systems, including the Time Machine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Maxrf8Rkgs8).
Established in 2010, Heeluxe is a growing independently owned biomechanics lab located in Goleta, California that helps "Make Better Shoes". Innovation is a big part of our lab. We have built most of the testing machines and systems in our lab ourselves based on the needs of our customers.
Heeluxe is focused on personal and professional development for all our team members. We lay out a three-year training and development program for every new researcher, culminating in a Lead Researcher position.
We need a full-time researcher that is highly motivated, energetic and organized to join our team. Tasks for this position include:
- Data Collection
- Data Entry
- Data Analysis
- Study set up / clean up
- Getting foot measurements on testers
- Interacting with testers
- Reporting
Anyone that is interested should apply. The following qualifications are preferred and will be recognized with higher starting pay rate:
-Bachelor's level or higher degree
-Experience in lab or medical setting (2 years preferred)
-Experience in a competitive athletic endeavor
-Enjoys working in a collaborative environment
-Proficient at Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Sheets
-Experience with Python
