General Pavement Management (GPM) is an established asphalt and concrete construction and maintenance contractor in Thousand Oaks, CA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Contact legacy and prospective customers to promote services and solicit sales.
- Accurately assess project conditions including potential risks and needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Utilize technology to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Represent GPM at local trade shows and conferences. Distribute promotional materials.
- Maintain an accurate calendar of activities
- Identify prospective customers using business directories, referrals,, or information from conferences or trade shows.
Competencies
- Knowledge of basic principles and methods for selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy, tactics, and sales techniques.
- Confidence to cold call potential opportunities on a regular basis
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Must be dependable and able to follow instructions
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally
- Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Possess math skills to accurately determine areas of common shapes, e.g., rectangle, square, circle, triangle, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalence
- Experience within a construction industries (preferred)
- Valid driver's license with a Clean driving record (required)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen test
