Overview:
We’re a local general contractor looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice / General Laborer to join our crew. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone eager to learn the trades from an experienced superintendent. Carpentry or construction experience is a plus but not required — bring a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist superintendent and crew with site preparation, cleanup, material handling, and basic labor tasks
- Carry, move, and organize materials and tools safely
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
- Follow directions and jobsite safety rules
- Help on framing, demolition, finish work, or other small carpentry tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized worksite and care for equipment
- Report to superintendent on progress, issues, and material needs
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong work ethic
- Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and work outdoors in variable conditions
- Basic tools a plus (but not required)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
