We are in search of an experienced Carpenter to join our team for several ongoing projects. This is a temporary position lasting three months, focusing on both rough and finish carpentry tasks with intricate custom details, particularly on historic properties. The role involves heavy beams, scaffolding work, and precise rough carpentry, along with finish tasks like stairs, trim outs, and custom wood shingles.

Our ideal candidate has 10-15 years of carpentry experience with a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship. You will collaborate with a skilled team under the guidance of an onsite lead, so the ability to work harmoniously with others is crucial. Compensation: Licensed 1099 $50/Hr.-$65/Hr. -OR- Unlicensed W2 employee $35/Hr. - $45/Hr.

Employment type: Full-time, eligible for overtime or W9 sub-contractor arrangement.

Job Responsibilities / Skills / Qualifications Required:

10-15 years of experience as a carpenter in custom residential construction (experience working on historic homes a must)

Reliable and organized vehicle to transport tools.

Clean driving record and able to pass a background check.

Very professional personal presentation; looks and behaves professionally (looks like a carpenter!).

Proven track record of following through with commitments made to team and supervisors.

Organized, strategic, and detail oriented; Can show the ability to have organized and well cared-for tool setup, and maintain a high level clean work site.

Technologically savvy, ability to learn and utilize the company software on a daily basis, and willingness to adapt new innovations as they arise.

Proven history of exemplary attendance, reliable work ethic, and consistent improvement.

2 years reading, studying, and building from architect drawn blueprints.

Can self perform layout & can communicate discrepancies in the plans via sketches and drawings for; rough framing, MEP, cabinets, fixtures, and utilities

Understands OSHA safety requirements, and consistently upholds safety protocols onsite with all trades

2 years experience communicating with building officials, inspectors, utility companies, trade partners, etc.

Proven history in executing challenging carpentry projects, with precision and efficiency.

Proven ability to plan ahead and communicate to team using project calendars, week lookaheads, and daily lists.

Competency in tracking site activity in the form of a site daily log.

Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, and exceed the supervisor, owner, and customer’s requirements.

Oversee and instruct laborers and carpenter helpers.

This person should work well with others, be a kind and level headed individual who is a team player and overall a nice person to work with.
