Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Journeyman Rough Carpenters to join our team for an exciting project in Montecito, CA.

PAY: $35-$45/hour based on experience
Per Diem: $100 per work days
Hours: 40+ hours/week
Duration: 3-5+ months
Start: ASAP
Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Works with wooden construction materials to build and repair residential and commercial structures. Their duties include selecting appropriate construction materials, planning construction jobs and monitoring code compliance and safety standards on construction sites.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials. Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
- Measure, mark, and cut drywall panels to fit in designated spaces on walls and ceilings. Fasten panels to the inside framework of buildings using screws and adhesives. Prepare panels for painting by taping and finishing joints and imperfections. Follow all health and safety regulations while on the job site.
- Measure, mark, and cut drywall panels according to design plans. Fasten panels and tiles to support structures. Patch, trim, and smooth rough spots and edges. Apply tape and sealing compound to cover joints between wallboards.
Carpenter Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Proficient in rough carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall work.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Tools & PPE required
- Background check required
