Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process and contribute to the overall success of our construction projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating and project management tasks.
Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for pricing and contracts.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budget control.
Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
Familiarity with contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control measures.
Previous experience working on construction sites is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates and reports.
