We are in the process of hiring an Estimator/Project Manager (PM) to join our team. As an Estimator/PM, your responsibilities will include reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing accurate take-offs, and creating electrical construction estimates for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should be flexible and adaptable, possess good management skills, and ensure projects are completed within the allocated budget and timeline while maintaining client satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, supervisors, administrative personnel, vendors, and subcontractors based on mutual respect and integrity.
Follow safety policies and procedures outlined in the Company IIPP, Employee Handbook, NFPA 70E, and OSHA guidelines.
Have the ability to design systems that are within NEC and California Electrical Codes.
Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Proficient knowledge of repairing and installing commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems and components.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Organize and manage project documentation accurately, including procurement activities, change order requests, subcontracts, materials and equipment, etc.
Understand project specifications, plans, schedules, and the resources required to complete the work within the allotted time frame.
Manage all aspects of assigned construction project objectives, including assessing the quality of work, tracking progress, monitoring personnel safety, attending project-related meetings, etc.
Actively monitor project performance and estimate cost projections.
Perform other project-related duties and assignments as instructed.
ABLE TO ADAPT TO CHANGING DESIGNS AND PLANS
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
Five years of estimating and project management is preferred.
Associate degree in construction management or related field or relevant field experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in McCormick Systems electrical estimating software or equal.
Must have Basic First Aid and Adult CPR/AED Certificates or obtain them within three months of the hire date.
