The Goleta Sanitary District is looking for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician II. This person performs a wide variety of skilled tasks in the installation, repair, and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. This is a journeymen-level position responsible for handling the more complex maintenance and repair duties.
Experience in dismantling, repairing, and overhauling mechanical and electrical motors, pumps, valves, engines, blowers, pneumatic valves, lab equipment, and air compressors is required. Experience with operations of a drill press, gas welder and cutter, milling machine, pipe threader, electrical equipment, and specialized test equipment is highly desired.
A high school diploma or GED AND four years of work experience in the wastewater field is necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Possession of, or ability to obtain within one year, a California Water Environment Grade II Mechanical Technologist Certificate is required.
