The Facilities Assistant works with the Facilities Manager in keeping Hotel guest rooms, common areas, business offices and retail facilities in clean and well-functioning condition.
The Facilities Assistant reports to Facilities Manager, who will designate ongoing regular tasks and projects. In most cases Facilities Assistant will work independently with ongoing training and supervision by Facilities Manager as needed. Occasionally Facilities Manager may require assistance for emergency or special projects.
Job Specifics
Maintains building performing routine maintenance and other related maintenance activities.
Must be proficient in painting, patching, drywall, plumbing
Notifies management concerning need for major repairs to lighting, HVAC and other equipment.
Cleans debris from rooftops and other surrounding areas of the building.
Must have knowledge of locations of all breakers, water, and gas shutoffs.
Must know how to safely use any chemical used in the Hotel Santa Barbara.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English, and be available to assist after hours and/or weekends for emergency and on-call work as needed
Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm, occasional weekends and holidays may be required.
