Job Title: Field Operations Manager

Job Summary:
Light Masters is seeking an experienced and dynamic Field Operations Manager to oversee and lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage lighting systems and smart home systems. This role is critical to ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a customer-focused approach. Electrical background preferred but not needed. We will train in all aspects of the job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management and Execution:
Oversee all field operations for low voltage lighting projects, from planning to completion.
Smart home systems such as lighting controls, automatic shades, color change lighting, and assisting clients with app programming of those systems.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
Coordinate with clients, designers, and subcontractors to meet project specifications and expectations.
Perform site assessments to design, install, and troubleshoot lighting systems.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor field technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company protocols.
Assign and manage daily tasks, providing guidance to ensure efficiency and quality.
Conduct performance reviews and identify training opportunities to enhance team skills.
Technical Expertise:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with low voltage lighting systems.
Ensure proper installation and wiring according to electrical codes and safety standards.
Stay updated on new technologies, products, and best practices in the industry.
Customer Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during field operations.
Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
Provide technical support and educate clients on system usage and maintenance.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of project progress, equipment, and materials.
Monitor and report on job costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in low voltage electrical work, landscape lighting, or related fields.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of low voltage systems, electrical codes, and installation techniques.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with project management tools and software.
Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to the job sites.
Certifications:
Low Voltage C7 certification (preferred).
Electrical C10 certification (preferred).
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training (preferred).
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.

Pay: $35-45 per hour depending on experience
