Schwan Brothers Excavating Contractors Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Our family owned business has been moving dirt since 1980. We are looking for operators to run our equipment used in demo, grading and utility work in the Santa Barbara/ Goleta area.
Operators should have a min. of 3 – 5 years of experience with running with heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bull dozers, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, compactors and support equipment. Operators should be able to read plans, perform layout, pass compaction tests and run jobs. Tasks may also include laboring on a job to assist in the completion of our projects. A Class A license and TopCon GPS experience a plus. Operators should be physically fit to handle operating heavy equipment and do heavy lifting at times. They must possess and demonstrate skills to safely operate heavy equipment and be knowledgeable of their uses and limitations. Operators will be subject to random drug tests.
