Delivery driver needed for wheel repair shop in Goleta. We are a full service company and our drivers & techs are responsible for removal and installation of wheels and spare tires on client’s vehicles at various delivery locations throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Our wheel repair service caters to retail customers, bodyshops, service departments, dealerships and tire shops. During periods of downtime between delivery runs candidate will help with general shop tasks and cleanup around shop as well as further learning of our trade.
Applicant must have a valid California drivers license without any major infractions on driving record that could invalidate them from being added to our insurance.
Vehicle and tools will be provided. Driving is local throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
Candidates should be able to safely lift 50+lbs (wheels and tires).
Applicants should have some prior experience in jacking and removal of wheels and tires off of cars and trucks. Further training is provided for safety protocols of torquing lugnuts, proper jack points, operation of lifts and tire equipment for changing of tires.
You will be required to have a smart phone for billing and inputting of customer information into our paperless invoicing system as everything is app based so please be tech savvy enough to understand basic apps and customer info input.
We are looking for someone with good work ethic who is eager to learn, responsive and focused during busy times. Organization is key as we will text new stops throughout the day while drivers are out on deliveries to be reviewed at your next stop. Ideally this is a 40 hour per week position (8am-5pm Monday-Friday), however we could consider something as far as a fixed part time schedule such as 3-4 weekdays a week if the right candidate and situation is presented. No weekends, m-f only.
