Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced 100 Ton Boat Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with people, ensuring a top-notch customer experience, and fostering positive crew morale. This role involves overseeing daily operations of the yacht, leading a dedicated crew, and delivering memorable experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the Yacht: Safely navigate and operate the 70 ft yacht, ensuring all voyages are conducted with the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Guest Interaction: Provide an exceptional guest experience, engaging with passengers, and ensuring their needs are met during cruises and private charters.
Crew Management: Lead and motivate a small crew, maintaining a positive work environment and effective communication.
Maintenance Oversight: work closely with our Maritime Operations Manager on maintenance and safety checks of the yacht.
Compliance: Ensure all maritime regulations and company policies are followed.
Logistics: Plan and manage daily routes, adhering to schedules and making real-time decisions to adapt to changing conditions.
Drug Free: you must pass pre-employment drug test and are subject to random testing throughout your employment
Qualifications:
Certifications: Valid 100 Ton Captain’s License, and any additional relevant maritime certifications.
Experience: Proven experience as a boat captain with a strong track record of operating similar-sized vessels.
Skills: Excellent navigational skills, knowledge of coastal waters, and ability to handle diverse weather conditions.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service skills with a genuine interest in interacting with guests and creating positive experiences.
Team Player: Ability to lead, inspire, and work effectively with a team.
Working Conditions:
Schedule: Typically 6-8 hour days (2- 4 trips each day); no overnight stays required.
Compensation: $40 per hour, plus tips (eligible for tips after initial training window). Additional benefits available based on commitment and performance.
