The Cosmopolitan Club of Santa Barbara, an organization of retired business professionals with over 150 members, is looking for an Editor to assist with their bimonthly newsletter. The Editor would be expected to work approximately 4-6 hours/month for $150 each month. This is a work-from-home job with flexible hours, ideal for a student or stay-at-home parent.
Duties will include:
â¢Maintain calendar of club meetings and subsequent newsletter distribution dates
â¢Gather information from members via email after bimonthly club meetings. Updates for each issue will include guest speakers for future meetings; local activities for club members (e.g. golf, tennis, bridge, discussion groups); and special events (e.g. tours, shows, wine tastings)
â¢Format newsletter using Word Publishing software
â¢Proof read and edit information submitted by members after each meeting
â¢Coordinate with local UPS store for newsletter printing and distribution
Requirements:
â¢No previous experience necessary, but must display professionalism in communication with members and vendors
â¢Quick learner
â¢Experience using Word Publishing a plus
