Description We are seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Santa Cruz, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, with the potential of a hybrid work schedule. As a Human Resources Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by overseeing payroll reporting, recruitment, and maintaining evaluation schedules. Responsibilities: Overseeing the recruitment process to ensure the effective sourcing and hiring of new staff Managing payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all team members Updating and maintaining the evaluation schedule to keep track of employee performance assessments Assisting with higher-level tasks such as strategic recruitment planning and payroll management Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations Utilizing various software tools like ADP, Paylocity, and MS Office to streamline human resources tasks Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all employees Supporting the entire office of 20 staff members in various HR-related needs Conducting audits and background checks as part of the hiring process Providing timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Requirements Must hold a minimum of two years of experience in a Human Resources Administrator role or similar. Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is required. Knowledge and experience in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is mandatory. Familiarity with Ceridian, Concur, and About Time software is essential. Must possess auditing skills and have experience in conducting background checks. Must demonstrate an understanding of benefit functions and compliance. Proficiency in Paylocity software is a must. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Must possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
