Description We are currently seeking a reliable, competent, and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our manufacturing client's team. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of our company's various reports and statements. Your primary tasks will include account reconciliation, preparing journal entries, month-end close, and other accounting responsibilities.Responsibilities:
Perform regular detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
Prepare financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of monthly closing procedures and financial reports.
Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs.
Maintain accounts receivable documentation electronically and on paper.
Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
Assist with audits and tax preparation.
Support the senior accountant in managing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.
Liaise with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in the Accounting field.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting software.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
