Description
Description : SAIC seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role on an Agile DevOps team that enables US Space Command to share space satellite/debris data to organizations outside of the Department of Defense. This role directly contributes to the protection of the space environment, astronauts, and potentially the general public. This team supports the Combined Force Space Component Command and the 18th Space Control Squadron on Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA, with with a primary work location of Santa Maria. Working with a hybrid environment that includes a LAMP stack, the Cloud Engineer will help expedite migration of web applications to the cloud to improve scalability as the number of objects in space rapidly and exponentially increase. The successful applicant will integrate well, and work within a highly productive and motivated team to create successful solutions that are imaginative, practical, and consistent with the organizations' objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Design hybrid connectivity between cloud services provider and on-premise networks;
Design, deploy, and operate various cloud resources;
Design, deploy, and operate cloud-native, hybrid cloud, and on-premise web applications.
