Marians offers Santa Maria Valley residents access to the most advanced technologies an expanded and enhanced Emergency Department Critical Care Unit neonatal intensive care unit and an array of womens services.ResponsibilitiesAbout This PositionIn keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the MDS Processor is an integral position for the achievement of institutional goals by ensuring the timely completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS). Coordinates an interdisciplinary approach for the implementation through completion of the Minimum Data Set. Major responsibilities are listed however at times the MDS Processor may be assigned other duties.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Recent experience in long-term care medication and treatment administration and the mandated OBRA regulated minimum Data Set Resident Assessment Protocol summary and care planning process.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR Certification.
Computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications:
A working knowledge of Medicare guidelines and managed-care guidelines is desired.
Communicates clearly concisely and accurately with people verbally and in writing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various publics and cross-functional teams.
Excellent organizational skills.
Thorough knowledge of the MDS and RAP protocols.
Demonstrates competency in physical/mental/psychosocial assessments.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
