Alisal Ranch is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. The Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of service and satisfaction for Alisal guests across all dining venues. Key responsibilities include overseeing front-of-house staff, managing administrative tasks, scheduling, procurement, invoicing, and other essential functions integral to the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage Department. Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage guest requests, including special orders and dietary needs, and coordinate with relevant departments.

Maintain detailed records of past events and group preferences for future reference.

Accurately coordinate seating charts and securely store them for future use.

Handle phone inquiries and provide front office support for Food & Beverage.

Prepare and distribute daily reader boards and special menus for promotional purposes.

Assist in communicating updates and changes in event orders to all departments.

Manage miscellaneous charges and check requests on a weekly basis.

Facilitate A/V equipment setup for events and ensure proper storage.

Conduct periodic equipment inventories and recommend purchases when necessary.

Ensure proper storage and return of F&B equipment.

Purchase and maintain beverage inventories for various dining outlets.

Supervise beverage deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records.

Conduct regular beverage inventory checks and assist with wine inventory.

Perform end-of-shift audits on POS terminals and maintain menu systems.

Report financial discrepancies to management and seek approvals for major purchases.

Order supplies for guest room amenities and review banquet invoices for accuracy.

Address member inquiries regarding food and beverage charges.

Monitor staff compliance with labor laws and payroll procedures.

Prepare gratuity spreadsheets and ensure timely payroll processing.

Serve as a point of contact for staff and guest issues during shifts and events.

Inspect F&B areas for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain relevant certifications.

Assist in conducting monthly staff and safety meetings for Food & Beverage staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in related field such as restaurant/hospitality management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires a minimum of ten years restaurant experience and five years of supervisory experience.

Must have vast knowledge of fine dining, food and wine in addition to strong multitasking and management skills.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Spanish language fluency is a plus but not required.
