Service Technicians – Santa Barbara/Ventura County Areas
The Towbes Group Inc., a premier property management firm seeks full-time experienced Service Technicians to provide building maintenance and customer service for our apartment communities in the Santa Barbara (including Santa Maria and Carpinteria) and Ventura County areas.
As a key member of our residential property management team, the Service Technician interacts daily with our apartment community team members and residents to help maintain company standards throughout the region.
Requirements:
Ability and willingness to provide first class customer service
Excellent communication skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of apartment building maintenance
Experience with management of the turn-key process
Appliance repair/installation of refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, and more
HVAC skills. Experience with wall heaters a plus
Plumbing skills including work with showers, drains, dishwashers and sink and toilet replacement
Electrical skills including work with breakers, fixtures, outlets, and exterior pagoda lights
Experience with apartment make-ready process
Organizational talent with the ability to multi-task
On-the-job training and coaching provided to ensure Towbes standards are met
Uniforms are provided
Reliable vehicle required
Mileage paid when used on work assignments
Personal tools preferred
Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
Clear DMV record, and pre-employment drug test and background check
Satisfactory verification of professional references
This is a full time, hourly position, may be asked to work Monday - Friday work schedule. Depending upon assignment location, the position also requires participation in our after-hours emergency on-call rotation program. You must be able to respond within 30-45 minutes from place of residence to our communities in Santa Barbara/Santa Maria/Carpinteria/Ventura.
In accordance with applicable law, as of November 1, 2021, The Towbes Group requires new hires and workers on a temporary assignment from our outside staffing agencies to be vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine. If hired, you will be required to provide proof that you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines prior to your first day of employment and are able to begin work and perform the essential functions of your job as of your first date of employment.
Proof of vaccination may consist of (1) a vaccine card, (2) a picture of the vaccine card, or (3) other document from a healthcare provider indicating vaccination status.
