Carr Winery, a small handcrafted winery in Santa Barbara County, is looking for a friendly and outgoing tasting room associate. This is a part-time or full-time hourly position, requiring flexibility to work weekdays and weekends (day and evening shifts).
Responsibilities Include:
Provide guests with a knowledgeable and enjoyable experience while promoting wine sales and new wine club memberships
Describe wines, winemaking techniques and winery history to guests
Answer visitors' questions and provide general tourist information
Monitor and maintain the appearance of the tasting room
Accurately perform tasting room open and close procedures
Consistently and accurately perform daily inventory and money handling procedures
Provide exceptional customer service and educate guests
Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age
Must have previous tasting room or wine related experience
Must have a passion for wine, wine knowledge and willingness to learn more
Must possess knowledge of Santa Barbara area including wine region, hotels, and restaurants
Strong sales abilities
Professional appearance and demeanor
Able to lift and carry 45 lbs; stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods
Computer skills - MS Office, Adobe suite, POS system
Weekend & Holiday availability required
Able to work a flexible schedule
Hourly + tips + bonuses
