Movement For Life is looking to hire someone to split time between working as a Physical Therapy Aide and also in the front office for our busy San Luis Sports Therapy clinic in Santa Maria, CA. Bilingual in Spanish required, kinesiology background is helpful.
This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week. You would be eligible for excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement benefits including Profit Sharing and Employee Stock Ownership. We also provide Paid Time Off starting at 3 weeks per year!

Front Office
Summary/Objective
The front desk clerk/receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping.
Responsibilities:

Answer multiple phone lines to assist new and existing patients
Welcome new and existing patients in-person upon entry to the clinic
Distribute/explain/review all new patient information
Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations
Correspond with patients regarding insurance info and co-pays so patients have a clear understanding of how their insurance works
Obtain and monitor patient referrals and visits
Responsible for maintaining optimal patient flow
Process incoming and outgoing mail, email, faxes and deliveries.
Utilize technology for scheduling appointments, processing payments, maintaining filing of various documents (billing records and charts), and other office duties
Process and forward billing documents to the billing department
Work closely with physical therapists to provide exceptional quality care for all our patients and clients
Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Responsible for maintaining and ordering the necessary office supplies, forms, and other materials for clinic
Comply with OSHA, federal and state regulations
Be able to lift 15-30 pounds
Develop and maintain positive client and referral source relationships
Additional tasks as needed
Skills/Abilities:
A dynamic personality, professional and friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills
Experience answering multi-line phone system, as well as excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication with physicians, colleagues, and clients
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google mail, and electronic health records/practice management
Experience in a medical office, with EMR system and hospitality experience a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, Hours TBD.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

May access protected health information and other patient information only to the extent that is necessary to complete job duties. May only share such information with those who have a need to know specific patient information in order to complete job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Company operations.
Encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the Companys policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of that policy to the designated Privacy Officer.
Expected to actively participate in Company privacy training.
Required to communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others in accordance with Company policy.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Two years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
