Our busy pediatric dental practice is looking for an energetic and highly motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in search of a rewarding career working with children in a fun-loving environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist the dentist(s) during examinations and treatment in accordance with the provisions of the Dental Practice Act.

Provide a cheerful and friendly atmosphere to children of all ages and help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.

Support the patient by providing exceptional interpersonal and technical skills in the delivery of information and care as it relates to receiving treatment.

Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.

Prepare treatment room and execute proper tray set up by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA.

Take orthodontic photos and initial records.

Take and develop dental x-rays and digital scans.

Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Record patient medical and dental histories and document treatment information.

Assist in the administration of nitrous oxide when used for analgesia or sedation.

Provide postoperative instructions as prescribed and directed by the dentists.

Participate in various community outreach events.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Current California RDA license.

Demonstrated leader.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.

Current X-ray license.

Some travel may be required.

Preferred Requirements

Ability to create balloon animals or other fun side-tricks (or be interested in learning such skills!)

Fun loving and positive attitude with the desire to learn special skills such as balloon animals, etc!

Working knowledge of dental software(s) and computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).

Working knowledge of Paw Patrol, Avengers, Liz & Maddie, Spirit, and all things Disney preferred.
