Responsibilities:
- Performing basic mechanical and electrical improvements to both tractor and testing site.
- Testing machines already installed to check for performance and safety.
- Maintaining and managing equipment and testing site.
- Loading and transporting of tractors (familiar with pulling a truck and trailer)
- Acting as tractor safety driver.
- Regularly lifting 75 lbs.
- Traveling to customer sites (dependent on skillset 0% - 50%)
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Must possess reliable transportation capable of navigating light off-road terrain commonly found in vineyards and farm settings, ensuring timely arrival and departure for work duties.
What kind of person are we looking for?
- Heavy machine operating experience (Tractor experience preferred, but not required).
- Experience working hands-on at field test sites.
- Maintaining and managing equipment and testing site.
- Proven written and verbal and communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Customer-service oriented
- Safety minded
- Knowledge of tractor operations
More practical skills needed:
- Agricultural-related experience.
- Experience managing field-sites
- Passion for sustainability, innovative technologies, and agriculture.
- Experience with robotics and automation (experience with ROS a plus)
- Mechanical ability and technically savvy
