Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience in a high-precision, ISO-9001 or AS9100 Certified, manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience in an ISO or AS registered machining operation, and be familiar with the development of, and adherence to, standard operating procedures and work-flows.

The QA Manager communicates daily with the production and quality teams at multiple facilities, addresses top priorities/concerns for management and customers, and resolves production machining quality issues in a timely manner. Candidate will manage the daily quality activities within the business, including but not limited to in-process inspection, supplier quality issues, final product approval/certification, and customer quality concerns. Candidate will also ensure all team members follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within the time and budget allotted.

The QA Manager is responsible for ensuring our products meet international quality standards, such as ISO 9001, and will track and monitor quality and production metrics, working with production management to meet performance targets to ensure machining operations are optimized. In compliance with our ISO 9001 registration, candidate will oversee document revision control, corrective actions (internally and externally driven), and continual improvement efforts throughout the organization.

The following skills and experience are required:

The ability to correctly use all basic inspection tools, including micrometers and depth gages.

Blueprint/Engineering drawing interpretation

Working knowledge / understanding of feature dimensioning /tolerance using GD&T

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Computer literacy, most notably using Microsoft Office Suite applications

Solid work habits, completing tasks and staying organized

Minimum 5-years experience in a CNC machining environment

Additional preferred skills (but not required):

Measurement experience using vision systems and/or CMMs

SPC experience

CNC Lathe or Mill experience

Logistics/Warehousing experience/knowledge
