elementary and secondary schools across Lompoc Unified School District.

Facilitator Essential Job Functions Include:
Ability to adapt to various school environments while effectively balancing the diverse
needs of students, staff, and curriculum.
Facilitator will work with 50-80 youth a week, up to 14 youth in a group at a time
Creating, preparing for, and facilitating daily hands-on and intentional activities within our
Core Essential Services (Healthy Living, Academic Enrichment and Support, and Life Skills)
Content areas can include: art, STEM, literacy, movement, financial literacy, social
emotional learning, girls and women in history, etc.
Ensuring girls safety, both physically and emotionally, though active supervision while they
participate in structured program activities
Being a mentor and leader setting a positive example and role model for the girls
Abide and adhere to the safety requirements and procedures of our operations
Keeping accurate records of attendance
Evaluating programs for effectiveness of intended outcomes
Participating in staff trainings, meetings, and events
Maintaining organization and cleanliness of programming areas, resources, and supplies
Creating a pro-girl environment
Interacting with families in a positive and welcoming way

Minimum Requirements:
1 full year of work experience working with youth in a structured educational setting
And/Or
12 college level units in any of the following courses: early childhood education, sociology,
psychology, art, music, dance, drama, recreation
In addition to:
Valid Driver’s License is required
Bilingual – English and Spanish
Ability to pass criminal background check or Clean criminal record
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
Vaccinations as required by State Law for licensed childcare facilities (TB, Pertussis and
Measles Immunizations, Flu vaccine recommended-but optional).
Strong communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team member of a diverse
and dynamic team
Compensation:
Pay: $19.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
Schedule:
6-hour shift, M-F
Please note: Facilitator will need to commute to Girls Inc.’s center in Goleta several times a
month
