Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the Santa Maria area looking for work as a Receptionist. This position is Full Time and temp to hire, with the hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $16-18/hr (DOE). Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greet all visitors and guests as they arrive to the company
Maintain visitor logbooks and badges
Direct visitors to the appropriate staff as necessary
Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Ensure that the reception area is always clean and presentable for a professional environment
Ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked and properly stored (pens, business cards, and visitor badges)
Use exceptional customer service abilities to provide basic and accurate information both in-person and via phone and email
File
Distribute mail
Use office equipment to fax, photocopy, transcribe, and more
Assist with duties falling under the dispatch department, such as: Micro Schedule reviews, process service request and missing sample follow-ups
Coordinate supplies and sample shipments
Update calendars and schedule meetings
Arrange, travel, accommodations, and prepare vouchers
Other duties as assigned
Bilingual - English/Spanish is required
Skills and Qualifications:
Associates Degree or high preferred
Certification in Office Management would be a plus
Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written communication
Previous experience working as a receptionist or other similar role
Ability to demonstrate professionalism and exceptional customer service skills at all times
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and Touch Typist
Ability to type 35+ words per minute
Experience using office equipment, including: copy machine, fax machine, phones, printers, computers, and more)
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
