Office Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Office Assistant in a fantastic municipal setting in Santa Maria, CA. This position is expected to last 5 months with a pay rate of $20 an hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to internal and external customers.

Manage phone calls and walk-in customers.

Operate phone, radio system, computer, and related software applications.

Enter work orders into the system and run and customize reports.

Dispatch drivers via the computer system.

Read and understand street maps.

Act as an operator routing calls to proper departments.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of customer service and professional office experience.

Experience operating office equipment like computers, copy machines, and phones.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Bilingual English/Spanish desired.

Dispatching or work order experience is a plus.

Familiarity with Santa Maria area desired.
