The Santa Barbara County Education Office is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Associate, with the College and Career Readiness department.
General description:
Under the supervision of the assigned manager, responsible for supporting the K-12 Strong Workforce Grant.
The grant is for several counties, and grant activities include:
- Promotion of work-based learning
- Providing professional development on career and technical education to middle and high school teachers
- Developing CTE pathways between middle school and high school and high school and community college
- Engaging guest speakers and panels for students
- Arranging internships/externships for students and teachers.
Other responsibilities of the position include:
- Invoicing and tracking of grant
- Promoting connections with other LEAs
- Coordinating required reports and monitoring activities to ensure they are aligned with objectives described in grant proposal.
Ideal candidate will have strong technology skills to facilitate Zoom meetings, maintain a website, and promote activities on social media.
Requirements-
Education:
High school diploma and two years of college level instruction.
Experience:
Four years experience in a responsible administrative or program support position, including one year of experience working with locally based foundations, non-profits, businesses, schools, and/or community organizations.
