Perry’s Parcel & Courier, locally owned and doing business for over 42 years, needs Santa Maria based part-time drivers for delivery routes within Santa Maria and the various cities of San Luis Obispo County. There are a three available routes, ranging between 2 hours and up to 4 hours. The routes are scheduled in the morning, afternoon, and early evening.
Driver Main Responsibilities:
1. Timely & accurate transfer and delivery of interoffice mail and supplies.
2. Timely pickup/delivery of medical specimens while ensuring proper handling to protect the integrity of the specimens.
3. Accurate completion of route sheets including obtaining all mandatory signatures and notes.
Driver Requirements:
1. Valid CA drivers license for minimum of 5 years.
2. Clean driving record.
3. Ability to pass background check and drug testing.
4. Ability to work independently while at the same time being a team player.
5. Able to follow the provided route timely and safely.
6. Be flexible in terms of occasional and/or temporary route changes.
7. Be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English.
8. Have excellent customer service and organizational skills.
These positions require the use of the driver’s vehicle, which is reimbursed for the business usage performed on our behalf. As such, driver must provide proof of current registration and insurance coverage levels (100k/300k). With wages and vehicle reimbursement, driver will average $24-28/hour.
