Our small, family-run business is seeking a part-time team member to deliver Santa Maria Style BBQ food products to local grocery stores and specialty retailers.
The Direct Store Delivery Specialist reports directly to the Sales Manager and is the face-to-face contact for our most valuable wholesale customers. We are seeking a friendly, professional team member with an impeccable driving record and a love for Santa Maria Style Barbecue.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Direct Store Delivery
+ Work with Sales Manager to create and maintain a delivery schedule, to be updated as accounts change or as needed
+ Keep an updated log of product placement at each direct store delivery location
+ Maintain relationships with direct store delivery customers by being a professional brand representative
+ Negotiate shelving space and product placement with managers at delivery locations to advocate for more space and better placement
+ Work with Wholesale Account manager to plan and execute pallet deliveries, special orders and call-in orders from new and existing wholesale customers within our delivery area
+ Relay all requests from direct store delivery locations regarding low stock, or requests for delivery
Vehicle, Maintenance and Par Levels
+ Assist in maintaining par levels in the delivery van, and help identify when par levels should change based on current delivery volume trends
+ Identify and communicate any vehicle needed vehicle maintenance, cleaning or repair to the Sales Manager
+ Deliver products while adhering to posted speed limits and all applicable traffic laws, rules, and regulations
Other responsibilities as assigned.
