Description Robert Half is accepting applications for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is seeking a short-term contract / temporary to hire position at a recognized company in the Construction Real Estate & Property industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Seal Beach, California area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.Your responsibilities
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Provide support to internal business partners
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
-Lien releases Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Proven knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Knowledge of Construction Accounting
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
High-Volume Invoicing experience
Journal entries experience highly desired
Reconciliations experience
