MMW is currently looking for an exceptional, motivated self-starter who would like a part-time opportunity with flexible weekly hours and competitive pay in the East Bay (San Leandro, CA).
Requirements:
Proficiency in Excel, Word & accounting software: 2-3 years+ Quickbooks experience, ProAdvisor or QuickBooks Desktop certification a must.
Strong numerical skills: Ability to perform accurate calculations
Attention to detail: Meticulous focus on accuracy when recording financial transactions.
Organizational skills: Efficiently manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Accounting knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.
High school diploma with relevant accounting courses or an Associate's degree in accounting
Prior bookkeeping experience in a similar role
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction recording
Enter weekly financial transactions into the accounting system, including sales receipts, invoices, bills, and bank deposits.
Accounts payable/receivable management
Process accounts payable (A/P) by verifying invoices and making payments, and manage accounts receivable (A/R) by sending invoices and collecting payments.
Bank reconciliation
Regularly reconcile bank statements with the company's accounting records to identify discrepancies.
General ledger maintenance
Post transactions to the appropriate general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Financial reporting
Generate monthly or quarterly financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Invoice generation:
Prepare and send customer invoices in a timely manner.
Data entry:
Input financial data into accounting software with accuracy and attention to detail.
Compliance:
Adhere to all relevant accounting regulations and tax filing requirements.
